Tiramisu Truffles Recipe

  • Total Time: 1 hour
  • Yield: 12-15 truffles 1x

Description

Indulge in these easy no-bake Tiramisu Truffles, featuring creamy mascarpone, espresso, and chocolate. Perfect for gifting, parties, or a decadent treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon espresso or strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup crushed ladyfingers (or graham crackers as an alternative)
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder, plus extra for dusting
  • 6 oz dark or semi-sweet chocolate, melted
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional, for a smoother chocolate coating)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and espresso. Stir until smooth and well blended.
  2. Add the Dry Ingredients: Fold in the crushed ladyfingers and cocoa powder, mixing until a thick dough-like consistency forms. If the mixture is too soft, refrigerate for 15–20 minutes to firm up.
  3. Shape the Truffles: Using a small spoon or cookie scoop, portion out small amounts of the mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Chill the Truffles: Refrigerate the truffle balls for at least 30 minutes to firm up before dipping them in chocolate.
  5. Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate in 20-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth. If using, stir in the butter for a silkier coating.
  6. Coat the Truffles: Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated. Let the excess chocolate drip off, then place back on the parchment paper.
  7. Final Touches: While the chocolate is still wet, dust the truffles with cocoa powder for the classic tiramisu look. Alternatively, sprinkle crushed ladyfingers on top.
  8. Set and Serve: Allow the truffles to set at room temperature or in the refrigerator until the chocolate hardens. Once set, they are ready to enjoy!

Notes

  • Boozy Twist: Add a teaspoon of coffee liqueur (such as Kahlúa) for extra flavor.
  • White Chocolate Coating: Swap the dark chocolate for white chocolate for a sweeter variation.
  • Nutty Addition: Roll the truffles in crushed hazelnuts or almonds for added texture.
  • Coconut Dusting: Replace cocoa powder with shredded coconut for a different finish.
