- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

- 2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped (or 1 tsp dried basil)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cook the Meat – In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat, brown the ground beef with diced onion until fully cooked. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add Aromatics – Stir in garlic, salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Simmer the Base – Add beef broth, water, crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and sugar. Stir to combine and bring to a boil.
