For the Chicken:

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

For the Topping:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise or sour cream
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Instructions

  • Preheat & Prepare

    • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a baking sheet or line with parchment paper.
  • Prep the Chicken

    • Slice each chicken breast in half lengthwise for thinner cutlets.
    • Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Make the Parmesan Coating

    • In a shallow bowl, combine Parmesan and panko breadcrumbs.
    • Brush chicken with melted butter, then coat with the Parmesan mixture, pressing gently.
  • Bake the Chicken

    • Place coated chicken on the baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes.
  • Prepare the Topping

    • While the chicken bakes, mix mayonnaise (or sour cream), Parmesan, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, and garlic in a bowl.
  • Add the Topping & Finish Baking

    • Remove chicken from oven. Spread topping over each piece.
    • Return to oven and bake for another 10–12 minutes, until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
