  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Prepare the chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning on both sides.
  • Cook the chicken: Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Make the garlic Parmesan sauce: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir to combine.
  • Add the sauce: Once the chicken is golden brown, pour the garlic Parmesan sauce over the chicken in the skillet.
  • Bake the chicken: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

 

  • Serve: Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve.
