Instructions
- Prepare the Puff Pastry
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into 3-inch circles or squares.
- Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and prick centers with a fork to prevent excessive puffing.
- Brush edges with a lightly beaten egg.
- Make the Cream Cheese Filling
- In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Spoon a small amount into the center of each puff pastry piece, spreading slightly while keeping edges clear.
- Prepare the Peaches
- Toss peach slices with brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter.
- Arrange 2-3 slices on top of the cream cheese layer.
- Bake the Tarts
- Bake for 18-22 minutes, until golden brown and puffed.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
- Add Finishing Touches
- Dust with powdered sugar, drizzle with honey or caramel, or garnish with fresh mint leaves.
