  • 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Preheat and Prepare:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. Cook the Meat:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef or sausage, breaking it apart as it cooks. Once browned, drain excess fat. Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder. Simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat.

3. Prepare the Cheese Mixture:
In a medium bowl, mix ricotta cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, and Parmesan cheese until smooth.

4. Assemble the Casserole:

  • Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of the baking dish.
  • Layer half of the ravioli over the sauce.
  • Spread half of the cheese mixture over the ravioli.
  • Add another layer of meat sauce, followed by the remaining ravioli.
  • Spread the rest of the cheese mixture, top with remaining meat sauce, and sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly.

5. Bake to Perfection:
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

6. Serve and Enjoy:
Let casserole rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
