Description
A refreshing Blackberry Hibiscus Tea Frappe combining floral hibiscus tea and juicy blackberries, blended to creamy perfection. This vibrant, antioxidant-rich drink is naturally caffeine-free and easy to make at home.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 hibiscus tea bags
- 1 cup hot water
- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blackberries
- 1–2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy, such as almond, oat, or coconut milk)
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
- Fresh blackberries or mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Brew the Hibiscus Tea – Steep hibiscus tea bags in hot water for 5–7 minutes. Remove tea bags and let cool completely, speeding up by refrigerating for 10–15 minutes if needed.
- Blend Ingredients – In a blender, combine cooled hibiscus tea, blackberries, sweetener, milk, ice cubes, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and frothy. Strain if a smoother texture is desired.
- Adjust Consistency – Taste and add more sweetener if needed. Adjust thickness by adding more milk or tea for a thinner drink, or more ice for a thicker consistency.
- Serve & Garnish – Pour into a glass and optionally top with whipped cream, fresh blackberries, or mint leaves.
- Enjoy – Serve immediately with a straw and savor your homemade frappe.
Notes
- For a vegan option, use maple syrup and non-dairy milk.
- Add citrus zest or juice (lemon or orange) for a bright twist.
- Enhance with vanilla protein powder for a more filling drink.
- Swap milk for coconut cream or heavy cream for an extra creamy texture.
- Try an iced latte version by skipping the blending step and serving chilled tea over ice with milk.
