Description

These Homemade Garlic Butter Cheese Bombs are an easy, cheesy, and delicious appetizer. Golden biscuit dough stuffed with gooey mozzarella, brushed with garlic butter, and baked to perfection. Perfect for parties, snacks, or side dishes!

Ingredients

Scale

For the cheese bombs:

  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (such as Pillsbury Grands)
  • 8 mozzarella cheese cubes (about 1-inch each)
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (for dusting, optional)

For the garlic butter topping:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

For garnish (optional):

  • Grated Parmesan cheese
  • Red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Prepare the Dough
Open the biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Lightly dust hands with flour if needed. Flatten each biscuit into a 3-inch circle.
  3. Add the Cheese Filling
Place a mozzarella cube in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over the cheese, pinching tightly to seal. Roll into a smooth ball and place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake the Cheese Bombs
Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden brown and puffed up.
  5. Make the Garlic Butter
Melt butter in a small saucepan or microwave. Stir in minced garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, and salt.
  6. Brush with Garlic Butter
Once baked, brush cheese bombs with the garlic butter mixture. Sprinkle with Parmesan or red pepper flakes if desired.
  7. Serve and Enjoy
Serve warm with marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or your favorite dip.

Notes

  • Different Cheeses: Swap mozzarella for cheddar, gouda, brie, or pepper jack.
  • Spicy Version: Add cayenne to the butter or include jalapeño slices.
  • Herb Infused: Mix fresh basil, oregano, or thyme into the butter.
  • Bacon & Cheese Bombs: Wrap a small piece of cooked bacon around the cheese cube before sealing.
