  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 2-3 servings 1x

Description

Hoisin Beef Noodles is a quick and flavorful stir-fry dish featuring tender beef, chewy noodles, and crisp vegetables in a rich hoisin-based sauce. Ready in under 30 minutes, it’s perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz rice noodles or egg noodles
  • 12 oz beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha (optional, for heat)
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • ½ cup carrots, julienned
  • ½ cup snap peas or broccoli
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Noodles
Cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Drain, rinse with cold water to prevent sticking, and set aside.
  2. Marinate the Beef
In a bowl, mix the beef slices with cornstarch and 1 tablespoon of soy sauce. Let it sit for 10 minutes while you prepare the sauce and vegetables.
  3. Make the Sauce
In a small bowl, combine hoisin sauce, remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and sriracha (if using). Stir well and set aside.
  4. Cook the Beef
Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  5. Stir-Fry the Vegetables
In the same pan, add sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for 30 seconds, then add bell peppers, carrots, and snap peas. Cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly tender.
  6. Combine Everything
Return the beef to the pan. Pour in the sauce and mix well. Add the cooked noodles and toss until everything is well coated and heated through.
  7. Garnish and Serve
Top with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Protein Swap – Use chicken, shrimp, tofu, or pork instead of beef.
  • Gluten-Free Option – Use tamari instead of soy sauce and rice noodles instead of egg noodles.
  • Vegetarian Version – Replace beef with mushrooms or tofu and use a vegetarian hoisin sauce.
  • Extra Heat – Add crushed red pepper flakes or extra sriracha for more spice.
