For the Tzatziki Sauce:
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cucumber, grated and drained
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Making the Meatballs:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, feta cheese, egg, garlic, onion, parsley, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined but do not overwork the meat.
- Using a tablespoon or small scoop, form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/74°C).
Making the Tzatziki Sauce:
- Grate the cucumber and squeeze out excess liquid using a clean kitchen towel or paper towel.
- In a medium bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, dill, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
- Let the tzatziki sauce sit in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
