- Activate the Yeast – In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Mix the Dough – Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture, stirring until a sticky dough forms. Drizzle in olive oil and mix well.
- First Rise – Cover and let the dough rise at room temperature for 1 to 2 hours, or until doubled.
- Prepare the Baking Pan – Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan with olive oil. Transfer dough and stretch to fit. Let rest for 30 minutes.
- Create the Dimples – Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Use oiled fingertips to press dimples all over dough. Drizzle with olive oil, flaky salt, and herbs.
- Bake the Focaccia – Bake for 20–25 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
