Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 24 ladyfinger biscuits (savoiardi)
  • 4 oz dark chocolate, grated
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder (for dusting)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Mascarpone Mixture

  1. Whip the heavy cream in a mixing bowl until soft peaks form.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.

Step 2: Prepare the Coffee Mixture

  1. In a shallow dish, combine the brewed coffee, cocoa powder, and coffee liqueur (if using). Stir until dissolved.

Step 3: Assemble the Tiramisu

  1. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are moist but not soggy.
  2. Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers at the bottom of an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  3. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture evenly over the ladyfingers.
  4. Sprinkle half of the grated chocolate over the mascarpone layer.
  5. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture, and grated chocolate.

Step 4: Chill and Serve

  1. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  2. Before serving, dust the top with unsweetened cocoa powder.
  3. Slice and enjoy!
