Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken:
    • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Pound each chicken breast to ½-inch thickness between plastic wrap.
    • Place a slice of ham and Swiss cheese on each, roll tightly, and secure with toothpicks if needed.
  2. Bread the Chicken:
    • Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
    • Dredge each roll in flour, dip in egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
    • Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat and sear chicken until golden brown (3-4 minutes per side).
    • Transfer skillet to oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F (75°C).
  3. Make the Creamy Sauce:
    • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
    • Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
    • Slowly add milk, whisking continuously until thickened.
    • Stir in Dijon mustard, Parmesan, salt, and pepper.
    • Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. Serve:
    • Remove toothpicks from chicken, slice, and drizzle with sauce.
