- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 tsp dried parsley)
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for pan-frying, optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Mixture
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Mix gently until well incorporated without overmixing.
- Shape the Meatballs
- Use a spoon or cookie scoop to form uniform meatballs (about 1 to 1.5 inches).
- Roll them gently and place on a plate or baking sheet.
- Cooking Methods
Pan-Frying:- Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook meatballs for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (165°F internal temp).
Baking:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place meatballs on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes until fully cooked.
Air Frying:
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Arrange meatballs in a single layer and cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking halfway through.
Notes
- Serve with marinara sauce over pasta.
