For the Chicken:

- 1 tsp grated ginger
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- ½ cup water
For Thickening:
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp cold water
For Garnish:
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- Prepare the Sauce
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, red pepper flakes (if using), and water.
- Add to the Slow Cooker
- Place the chicken in the slow cooker and pour the teriyaki sauce over it, ensuring even coating.
- Cook
- Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours until the chicken is tender.
- Shred the Chicken
- Remove the chicken and shred it with two forks. Return it to the slow cooker.
- Thicken the Sauce
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with cold water until smooth. Stir into the slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 15-20 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Serve & Garnish
- Serve over rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.
