Instructions
1. Prepare the Dough:
- In a large bowl, mix warm milk and yeast. Let sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add sugar, melted butter, eggs, and salt. Mix well.
- Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
2. Prepare the Filling:
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Spread softened butter evenly over the rolled-out dough.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the butter.
3. Assemble the Rolls:
- Roll the dough into a 16×12-inch rectangle.
- Tightly roll the dough from the long side into a log.
- Cut into 12 even slices and place them in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
4. Bake the Rolls:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
5. Prepare and Apply the Glaze:
- Mix powdered sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
- Drizzle over warm cinnamon rolls before serving.
