  • Total Time: 7 hours
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

A rich, creamy slow-cooked pork chop dish with garlic Parmesan sauce. Perfect for busy nights, this effortless meal is packed with flavor and pairs well with various sides.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Sear the Pork Chops
    • Pat the pork chops dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Sear the pork chops for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Transfer to the slow cooker.
  2. Make the Garlic Parmesan Sauce
    • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
    • Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
    • Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Mix well.
  3. Slow Cook
    • Pour the sauce over the pork chops in the slow cooker.
    • Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the pork chops are tender.
  4. Thicken the Sauce (Optional)
    • If the sauce is too thin, mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water and stir into the sauce.
    • Cook for another 15 minutes on high until thickened.
  5. Serve & Garnish
    • Plate the pork chops and spoon sauce over the top.
    • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with your favorite side dish.

Notes

  • Boneless vs. Bone-In: Both work; bone-in tends to be juicier.
  • Lighter Version: Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Cheese Swap: Substitute Parmesan with Pecorino Romano.
  • Extra Flavor: Add mushrooms or spinach.
  • Low-Carb Option: Serve over cauliflower mash or roasted zucchini.
  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 6-7 hours (low) or 3-4 hours (high)
