For the Dip:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 cup cooked corned beef, chopped
- 1 cup sauerkraut, drained and patted dry
- 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the Bread Bowl & Dippers:
- 1 large round rye bread loaf
- Rye crackers, pretzels, or additional rye bread for dipping
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Bread Bowl
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut off the top of the rye bread loaf and scoop out the center, leaving about a 1-inch thick shell. Reserve the bread pieces for dipping.
Step 2: Make the Dip
- In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese, sour cream, and Thousand Island dressing until smooth.
- Stir in the Swiss cheese, corned beef, sauerkraut, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until well combined.
Step 3: Bake the Dip
- Spoon the dip mixture into the hollowed-out bread bowl.
- Wrap the bread bowl loosely in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to crisp up the bread.
Step 4: Serve
- Place the bread bowl on a serving platter and arrange the reserved bread chunks, crackers, or pretzels around it.
- Serve warm and enjoy!

- Spicy Reuben Dip: Add a teaspoon of horseradish or a few dashes of hot sauce.
