Served with rich au jus for dipping, these easy, crowd-pleasing sliders are perfect for parties, game days, or a quick meal.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Sliders:

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls or slider buns
  • ¾ pound deli roast beef, thinly sliced
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

For the Au Jus:

  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1 ½ cups beef broth
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Sliders

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally without separating them completely. Place the bottom half in the prepared dish.

Step 2: Assemble the Sliders

  1. Layer half of the cheese over the rolls.
  2. Evenly distribute the roast beef on top of the cheese.
  3. Add the remaining cheese slices over the roast beef.
  4. Place the top half of the rolls back on.

Step 3: Make the Butter Topping

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried thyme.
  2. Brush the mixture evenly over the tops of the rolls.

Step 4: Bake

  1. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  2. Remove foil and bake for another 5-7 minutes until the tops are golden brown.

Step 5: Prepare the Au Jus

  1. While the sliders are baking, whisk together the gravy mix, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce in a small saucepan.
  2. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened (about 3-4 minutes).

Step 6: Serve

  1. Remove sliders from the oven and let them cool slightly.
  2. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with warm au jus for dipping.

Notes

  • Cheese Options: Swap provolone for Swiss, mozzarella, or pepper jack.

  • Extra Flavor: Add caramelized onions or a thin layer of horseradish sauce.
  • Gluten-Free: Use gluten-free rolls and a gluten-free au jus mix.
