Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat the Pan: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter.
- Cook the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in the pan and cook for 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: Reduce heat to medium. Add the remaining tablespoon of butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant, stirring frequently.
- Combine and Serve: Return the chicken to the pan, spooning the garlic butter sauce over the top. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
- Spicy Kick: Add extra red pepper flakes or a dash of cayenne pepper.
- Cheesy Twist: Sprinkle with grated Parmesan before serving.
- Creamy Sauce: Stir in a splash of heavy cream for a richer texture.
- Herb Upgrade: Use fresh rosemary or thyme for a more aromatic flavor.
