  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Philly Cheesesteak Pasta is a creamy, cheesy, and savory dish packed with tender beef, sautéed peppers, onions, and a luscious cheese sauce. A quick and easy one-pot meal perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or any short pasta)
  • 1 lb ribeye steak or ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Pasta
Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 2: Sauté the Steak and Vegetables

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • If using ribeye steak, slice it thinly. If using ground beef, break it apart while cooking.
  • Add the steak or ground beef to the pan and cook until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add onions and bell peppers. Sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.

Step 3: Make the Sauce

  • Return the cooked steak or beef to the skillet.
  • Add Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, heavy cream, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Stir well.
  • Let the mixture simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.

Step 4: Combine with Pasta and Cheese

  • Reduce heat to low and stir in the shredded provolone (or mozzarella) and cheddar cheese.
  • Add the cooked pasta and toss until fully coated in the sauce.
  • Cook for another 2 minutes until the cheese is melted and everything is well combined.

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy
Serve hot, garnished with extra cheese if desired.

Notes

  • Protein Swap: Use ground turkey, chicken, or thinly sliced mushrooms for a vegetarian version.
  • Cheese Options: Swap provolone for American or Swiss cheese.
  • Spicy Kick: Add red pepper flakes or sliced jalapeños.
  • Low-Carb Alternative: Use cauliflower or zucchini noodles instead of pasta.
