  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

A rich and flavorful fusion of tender steak, bell peppers, and creamy pasta, making a quick and satisfying meal perfect for busy weeknights or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz pasta (penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti)
  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 bell pepper (red or green), sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Steak: Season the sliced steak with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, melt butter and add sliced onion and bell pepper. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Make the Sauce: Pour in beef broth and soy sauce, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Simmer for 2 minutes. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens.
  5. Combine Everything: Return cooked steak to skillet and mix well. Add drained pasta and toss until fully coated in sauce. Cook for another 2 minutes to blend flavors.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Garnish with fresh parsley and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Protein Swap: Use chicken or shrimp instead of steak.
  • Spice Level: Adjust red pepper flakes or add chili powder for extra heat.
  • Cheese Options: Substitute Parmesan with Pecorino Romano.
  • Vegetables: Add mushrooms, zucchini, or spinach for extra nutrients.
