For the Meat Mixture:
- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ lb bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
For the Parmesan Garlic Cheese Sauce:
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
For the Lasagna Layers:
- 12 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Meat Mixture
- Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove, crumble, and set aside.
- Drain most of the bacon grease, leaving about 1 tbsp in the skillet.
- Add diced onion and cook for 3 minutes until softened.
- Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add ground beef, season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika, and cook until browned. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in crumbled bacon and remove from heat.
Step 2: Make the Parmesan Garlic Cheese Sauce
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute until lightly golden.
- Slowly whisk in milk and heavy cream, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
- Bring to a simmer and stir in Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes until thickened, then remove from heat.
Step 3: Assemble the Lasagna
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and spread a thin layer of Parmesan garlic cheese sauce.
- Add a layer of cooked lasagna noodles.
- Spread a portion of the beef and bacon mixture over the noodles.
- Dollop spoonfuls of ricotta cheese and sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top.
- Drizzle more Parmesan garlic sauce over the layer.
- Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of cheese on top.
- Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the top.
Step 4: Bake
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for another 10–15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
