For the Meat Mixture:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ lb bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika

For the Parmesan Garlic Cheese Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

For the Lasagna Layers:

  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Meat Mixture

  1. Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove, crumble, and set aside.
  2. Drain most of the bacon grease, leaving about 1 tbsp in the skillet.
  3. Add diced onion and cook for 3 minutes until softened.
  4. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  5. Add ground beef, season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika, and cook until browned. Drain excess grease.
  6. Stir in crumbled bacon and remove from heat.

Step 2: Make the Parmesan Garlic Cheese Sauce

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute until lightly golden.
  3. Slowly whisk in milk and heavy cream, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
  4. Bring to a simmer and stir in Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Cook for 2–3 minutes until thickened, then remove from heat.

Step 3: Assemble the Lasagna

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and spread a thin layer of Parmesan garlic cheese sauce.
  3. Add a layer of cooked lasagna noodles.
  4. Spread a portion of the beef and bacon mixture over the noodles.
  5. Dollop spoonfuls of ricotta cheese and sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Drizzle more Parmesan garlic sauce over the layer.
  7. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of cheese on top.
  8. Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the top.

Step 4: Bake

  1. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  2. Remove foil and bake for another 10–15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  3. Let lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
