Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, salt, and sugar.
    • Gradually add warm water, milk, and oil, mixing until a dough forms.
    • Knead on a lightly floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  2. First Rise:
    • Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours until doubled in size.
  3. Shape the Dough:
    • Punch down the dough and shape into a round or oval loaf.
  4. Cook on the Stovetop:
    • Heat a heavy-bottomed pan over low heat and grease lightly.
    • Place dough in the pan, cover, and cook for 10-15 minutes.
    • Flip and cook the other side for another 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Cool and Serve:
    • Remove from the pan and cool on a wire rack for 15 minutes before slicing.
