Instructions
- Prepare the Beef Tenderloin:
- Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C).
- Pat tenderloin dry and tie with butcher’s twine at 1-inch intervals.
- Season and Sear:
- Rub tenderloin with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Heat a skillet over high heat and sear on all sides (2-3 minutes per side).
- Apply Garlic Herb Butter:
- Mix butter, garlic, rosemary, thyme, and Dijon mustard.
- Spread mixture evenly over the tenderloin.
- Roast to Perfection:
- Transfer to a wire rack on a baking sheet.
- Roast at 450°F:
- Rare: 20-25 min (120°F internal temp)
- Medium-Rare: 25-30 min (125-130°F internal temp)
- Medium: 30-35 min (135°F internal temp)
- Use a meat thermometer for accuracy.
- Rest and Slice:
- Remove from oven, tent with foil, and rest for 15 minutes.
- Slice into 1/2 to 1-inch medallions and serve.
