  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Marry Me Salmon is a rich and flavorful dish featuring tender salmon fillets in a creamy sun-dried tomato and parmesan sauce. Perfect for date nights, anniversaries, or special occasions, this easy gourmet recipe is ready in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (skin on or off, per preference)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Step 1: Sear the Salmon

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry and season with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down (if using skin-on) and sear for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

Step 2: Prepare the Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter.
  2. Stir in the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the chopped sun-dried tomatoes and cook for another minute.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and broth, stirring to combine.
  5. Sprinkle in parmesan cheese, oregano, and basil. Stir well and let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.

Step 3: Combine and Serve

  1. Return the salmon fillets to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them.
  2. Let the salmon simmer in the sauce for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  3. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat gently in a skillet over low heat, adding a splash of broth or cream to maintain the sauce’s consistency. Avoid microwaving to prevent overcooking the salmon.
