For the Sauce:

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped

  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

For the Pasta:

  • 8 ounces fettuccine, penne, or preferred pasta
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil or parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta

    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
    • Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Prepare the Chicken

    • Slice each chicken breast in half horizontally.
    • Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  • Make the Sauce

    • In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic and sun-dried tomatoes for 1-2 minutes.
    • Pour in chicken broth, scraping up browned bits. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
    • Lower heat and add heavy cream, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, dried basil, and red pepper flakes. Stir and let thicken for 3-5 minutes.
  • Combine Everything

    • Slice cooked chicken and return it to the skillet, letting it simmer in the sauce for 2-3 minutes.
    • Add cooked pasta and toss to coat. Adjust consistency with pasta water if needed.
    • Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and extra Parmesan.
  • Serve and Enjoy
