Instructions
. Prepare the Cake Batter
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch loaf or bundt pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually add dry ingredients, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
2. Create the Marble Effect
- In a small bowl, mix cocoa powder with hot water until smooth.
- Divide the batter in half. Mix cocoa paste into one half until fully incorporated.
- Spoon alternating dollops of vanilla and chocolate batter into the pan.
- Use a knife or skewer to swirl gently for a marbled effect (avoid overmixing).
3. Bake the Cake
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
