  • Yield: 2-4 servings 1x

Description

Recreate Wingstop’s famous Louisiana Voodoo Fries at home! Crispy fries tossed in Cajun seasoning, smothered in cheese, and drizzled with ranch dressing for an irresistible side dish or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb frozen French fries (or homemade fries)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (if baking the fries)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup nacho cheese sauce
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)
  • 1 tbsp chopped green onions (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Fries

  • Oven Method: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Spread fries on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and bake according to package instructions or until crispy.
  • Air Fryer Method: Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Cook fries for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • Deep Frying Method: Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry potatoes until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

Step 2: Season the Fries

  • In a small bowl, mix Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
  • Toss hot fries in the seasoning mix immediately after cooking.

Step 3: Add the Toppings

  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over hot fries and drizzle with warm nacho cheese sauce.
  • Drizzle ranch dressing over the top.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.

Step 4: Serve and Enjoy

  • Serve immediately while hot and melty. Pair with extra ranch or hot sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Variations: Use curly fries, waffle fries, or sweet potato fries for a twist.
  • Spicy Version: Increase cayenne pepper or add hot sauce.
  • Cheese Options: Try Monterey Jack or pepper jack for variety.
  • Loaded Voodoo Fries: Add bacon bits or jalapeños.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in an oven or air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 5-7 minutes. Avoid microwaving to prevent sogginess.
