  • 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium bell pepper, julienned (optional)
  • 23 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

For the Hoisin Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes or sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Noodles:
    Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain, rinse under cold water, and set aside.
  2. Make the Sauce:
    Whisk together hoisin sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, chili flakes, and water in a small bowl. Set aside.
  3. Cook the Beef:
    Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
    Add the beef and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. Sauté the Aromatics and Vegetables:
    Add remaining oil to the skillet. Stir in garlic, ginger, and onions, cooking for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
    Add bell peppers (if using) and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Combine Ingredients:
    Return the beef to the skillet and pour the sauce over it. Stir to coat evenly.
    Add noodles and toss everything together. Cook for 2–3 minutes until heated through.
  6. Garnish and Serve:
    Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with green onions, and serve hot.
