- 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1 medium bell pepper, julienned (optional)
- 2–3 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
For the Hoisin Sauce:
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes or sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- Prepare the Noodles:
Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain, rinse under cold water, and set aside. - Make the Sauce:
Whisk together hoisin sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, chili flakes, and water in a small bowl. Set aside. - Cook the Beef:
Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Add the beef and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside. - Sauté the Aromatics and Vegetables:
Add remaining oil to the skillet. Stir in garlic, ginger, and onions, cooking for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
Add bell peppers (if using) and cook for 2 minutes. - Combine Ingredients:
Return the beef to the skillet and pour the sauce over it. Stir to coat evenly.
Add noodles and toss everything together. Cook for 2–3 minutes until heated through. - Garnish and Serve:
Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with green onions, and serve hot.
