For the Beef & Marinade:
  • 12 oz flank steak (or sirloin), thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
For the Sauce:
  • 3 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp honey (or brown sugar)
  • 1 tsp sriracha (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • ¼ cup water
For the Noodles & Stir-Fry:
  • 8 oz rice noodles (or lo mein noodles)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • ½ cup snap peas or broccoli florets
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Fresh cilantro or Thai basil (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1. Marinate the Beef

  • Toss beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.

2. Prepare the Sauce

  • Whisk hoisin sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, vinegar, honey, sriracha, garlic, ginger, and water. Set aside.

3. Cook the Noodles

  • Boil noodles per package instructions. Drain, rinse with cold water, and set aside.

4. Stir-Fry the Beef

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook beef for 2 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.

5. Stir-Fry the Vegetables

  • In the same pan, stir-fry bell pepper, carrot, and snap peas (or broccoli) for 3–4 minutes.

6. Combine Everything

  • Return beef to pan, pour in sauce, and toss in noodles. Stir-fry for 2 minutes until combined.

7. Garnish & Serve

  • Top with green onions, sesame seeds, and fresh herbs. Serve immediately.
