Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Mashed Potatoes

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add potato chunks and cook for 15-20 minutes until fork-tender.
  2. Drain and return to the pot. Add butter, heavy cream (or milk), salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using). Mash until smooth.
  3. Stir in Parmesan cheese for extra flavor, if desired. Cover and keep warm.

Step 2: Season and Sear the Pork Chops

  1. Pat pork chops dry. Season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear pork chops for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (145°F internal temperature). Remove and set aside.

Step 3: Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
