For the Sliders:
- 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls (or dinner rolls)
- 1 lb thinly sliced deli roast beef
- 8 slices provolone cheese
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
For the Au Jus:
- 1 packet au jus seasoning mix
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
- Prepare Rolls: Slice rolls in half horizontally as a single sheet and place the bottom half in the baking dish.
- Assemble Sliders: Layer half of the cheese, add roast beef evenly, and top with the remaining cheese. Place the top half of the rolls back on.
- Make Butter Topping: Mix melted butter with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper. Brush over rolls.
- Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 5 minutes until golden brown.
- Prepare Au Jus: In a saucepan, combine au jus mix, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes while whisking.
- Serve: Let sliders cool slightly, slice into individual portions, and serve warm with au jus for dipping.
Notes
- Swap provolone for Swiss, mozzarella, or cheddar.
- Add caramelized onions, horseradish, or Dijon mustard for extra flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, keeping au jus separate.
- Reheat in the oven at 325°F wrapped in foil for 10 minutes or microwave in 15-second intervals.
