  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 12 sliders 1x

Description

French Dip Sliders are an easy, crowd-pleasing appetizer or meal, featuring tender roast beef, melted cheese, and buttery rolls, served with a rich au jus for dipping. Perfect for parties, game day, or a quick family dinner!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Sliders:

  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls (or dinner rolls)
  • 1 lb thinly sliced deli roast beef
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

For the Au Jus:

  • 1 packet au jus seasoning mix
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
  2. Prepare Rolls: Slice rolls in half horizontally as a single sheet and place the bottom half in the baking dish.
  3. Assemble Sliders: Layer half of the cheese, add roast beef evenly, and top with the remaining cheese. Place the top half of the rolls back on.
  4. Make Butter Topping: Mix melted butter with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper. Brush over rolls.
  5. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 5 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Prepare Au Jus: In a saucepan, combine au jus mix, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes while whisking.
  7. Serve: Let sliders cool slightly, slice into individual portions, and serve warm with au jus for dipping.

Notes

  • Swap provolone for Swiss, mozzarella, or cheddar.
  • Add caramelized onions, horseradish, or Dijon mustard for extra flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, keeping au jus separate.
  • Reheat in the oven at 325°F wrapped in foil for 10 minutes or microwave in 15-second intervals.
