  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme or fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Vegetables – Peel and chop turnips and carrots into even-sized pieces for even cooking.
  • Boil Until Tender – Place vegetables in a large pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes until fork-tender.
  • Drain and Mash – Drain thoroughly, return to pot, and add butter, milk, salt, pepper, and optional seasonings. Mash to desired consistency using a potato masher or immersion blender.
