Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls or slider buns
  • 1 pound deli-sliced roast beef
  • 6 slices provolone cheese (or Swiss cheese)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 (10.5-ounce) can beef consommé or beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce (optional, for extra umami)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sliders:
    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally without separating them. Place the bottom half in a greased baking dish.
  2. Assemble the Sliders:
    • Layer roast beef evenly over the rolls.
    • Add provolone cheese slices on top of the beef.
    • Place the top half of the rolls back on.
  3. Make the Buttery Topping:
    • In a small bowl, mix melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, and black pepper.
    • Brush the mixture evenly over the tops of the sliders.
  4. Bake the Sliders:
    • Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
    • Remove foil and bake for another 5-7 minutes until the tops are golden brown and cheese is melted.
  5. Prepare the Au Jus:
    • While sliders are baking, heat beef consommé (or broth) in a saucepan over medium heat.
    • Stir in soy sauce (if using) and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Remove sliders from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
    • Serve warm with au jus for dipping.

  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
