Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1/4 cup chicken broth (or white wine)

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Sauté the Shrimp

    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    • Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  2. Make the Garlic Cream Sauce

    • In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.

    • Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

    • Pour in the chicken broth (or white wine) and let it simmer for 1-2 minutes to reduce slightly.

  3. Finish the Sauce

    • Lower the heat and stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.

    • Simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.

  4. Combine and Serve

    • Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet, tossing them in the sauce until well coated.

    • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.

Notes

  • Make it Spicy: Add extra red pepper flakes or cayenne.

  • Add Veggies: Stir in spinach, mushrooms, or sun-dried tomatoes.

  • Swap Protein: Use chicken, scallops, or tofu.

  • Lighter Version: Substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
