  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil the rotini pasta in salted water until just al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Brown the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef (or sausage) until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. Combine Ingredients: In the slow cooker, mix cooked meat, pizza sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Layer the Casserole:
    • Add half of the cooked pasta to the slow cooker.
    • Layer half of the meat sauce mixture over the pasta.
    • Sprinkle half of the mozzarella and cheddar cheese over the sauce.
    • Repeat layers with remaining pasta, meat sauce, and cheese.
    • Top with pepperoni slices, black olives, and bell peppers if using.
  5. Slow Cook: Cover and cook on low for 3–4 hours until heated through and cheese is melted.
