- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Shrimp
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
- Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
Step 3: Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken or vegetable broth, stirring to deglaze the pan.
- Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning.
- Stir continuously until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3-4 minutes.
Step 4: Combine Everything
- Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Add the cooked pasta and mix well, adding reserved pasta water as needed to reach desired consistency.
- Stir in cherry tomatoes, if using, and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
Step 5: Serve
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley.
- Serve hot with additional Parmesan cheese on top.
