  • 1 cup chicken broth

  • 8 ounces fettuccine or linguine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta:
    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
    • Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining. Set aside.
  2. Cook the Chicken:
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
    • Cook for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked.
    • Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce:
    • In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
    • Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
    • Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 2 minutes, scraping up browned bits.
    • Lower heat, stir in heavy cream, and simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
    • Gradually add Parmesan cheese, stirring until smooth and creamy.
  4. Combine Everything:
    • Return cooked chicken to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce.
    • Add drained pasta and mix well, adding reserved pasta water if needed to loosen sauce.
    • Adjust seasoning and add red pepper flakes if desired.
  5. Serve & Garnish:
    • Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley.
    • Serve immediately with extra Parmesan on top.
