Crack Chicken Pinwheels Recipe

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: About 24 pinwheels 1x

Description

Crack Chicken Pinwheels are a creamy, cheesy appetizer filled with shredded chicken, crispy bacon, ranch seasoning, and cheddar cheese, all wrapped in a soft flour tortilla. Perfect for parties, potlucks, or a quick snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked and shredded chicken (rotisserie works well)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions

  • 4 large flour tortillas

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Filling

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, and ranch seasoning mix. Stir until smooth.
  2. Add shredded chicken, cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, and chopped green onions. Mix well to distribute ingredients evenly.

Step 2: Assemble the Pinwheels

  1. Lay a flour tortilla on a flat surface. Spread a generous layer of the filling evenly, leaving about 1/2 inch around the edges.
  2. Roll the tortilla tightly from one end to the other.
  3. Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.

Step 3: Chill and Slice

  1. Wrap each rolled tortilla in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up the filling.
  2. Remove from the fridge and slice each roll into 1-inch pinwheels using a sharp knife.

Step 4: Serve

  1. Arrange pinwheels on a serving platter. Serve immediately or keep chilled until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Spicy Option: Add diced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce.
  • Cheese Variations: Use pepper jack, mozzarella, or Colby jack.
  • Low-Carb Alternative: Swap tortillas for lettuce wraps.

  • Extra Crunch: Mix in diced bell peppers or shredded carrots.
