Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Pasta

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, drain, and set aside.

Step 2: Prepare the Chicken

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Remove, let rest for a few minutes, then slice into thin strips.

Step 3: Make the Alfredo Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Pour in heavy cream and stir well.
  4. Gradually add Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until melted.
  5. Season with salt, black pepper, and nutmeg (if using).
  6. If too thick, add reserved pasta water gradually until desired consistency.

Step 4: Combine and Serve

  1. Add cooked pasta to the Alfredo sauce and toss to coat evenly.
  2. Top with sliced chicken and mix gently.
  3. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan.
  4. Serve immediately and enjoy!
