- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

- 1/2 cup reserved pasta water
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
- Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, drain, and set aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Chicken
- Season chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove, let rest for a few minutes, then slice into thin strips.
Step 3: Make the Alfredo Sauce
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and stir well.
- Gradually add Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until melted.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and nutmeg (if using).
- If too thick, add reserved pasta water gradually until desired consistency.
Step 4: Combine and Serve
- Add cooked pasta to the Alfredo sauce and toss to coat evenly.
- Top with sliced chicken and mix gently.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
