Description

“Cheesy Beef and Bowtie Pasta in Garlic Butter is a rich, comforting dish with tender pasta, savory ground beef, and a creamy garlic butter sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights!”

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 cup beef broth

  • ½ tsp salt (or to taste)

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta: Boil salted water and cook bowtie pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  • Brown the Beef: Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat and set aside.

  • Prepare the Garlic Butter Sauce: Melt butter in the same skillet, add garlic, and sauté for 1 minute. Stir in Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes.

  • Build the Cheesy Sauce: Add beef broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Simmer for 3-4 minutes, then gradually mix in shredded cheddar and Parmesan cheese until melted.

  • Combine Everything: Return beef to the skillet, add drained pasta, and mix until coated in sauce. Season with salt and pepper.

  • Garnish and Serve: Top with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Storage: Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.

  • Reheating: Warm on the stovetop over low heat with a splash of milk or cream, or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each.

  • Substitutions & Variations: Swap ground beef for turkey or sausage, use different cheeses, add vegetables like spinach or bell peppers, or try another pasta shape like penne or rotini.
