Ingredients

Scale

For the Stir Fry:

  • 12 oz beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz egg noodles (or rice noodles)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)

For the Sticky Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (dissolved in 2 teaspoons water)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Noodles:
    • Cook noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain, rinse with cold water, and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Sticky Sauce:
    • In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, honey (or brown sugar), oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and cornstarch slurry. Stir well and set aside.
  3. Cook the Beef:
    • Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Add sliced beef and cook for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  4. Stir Fry the Vegetables:
    • In the same pan, add a little more oil if needed. Sauté garlic and ginger for 30 seconds until fragrant.
    • Add broccoli, bell pepper, and carrot. Stir fry for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
  5. Combine Everything:
    • Return cooked beef to the pan. Pour in the prepared sticky sauce and stir well.
    • Add cooked noodles and toss to coat evenly.
    • Cook for another 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and clings to the noodles.
  6. Serve and Garnish:
    • Remove from heat and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
    • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Protein Swap – Use chicken, shrimp, or tofu instead of beef.
  • Vegetable Options – Try mushrooms, snap peas, or baby corn for added texture.
  • Spicier Kick – Increase red pepper flakes or add Sriracha to the sauce.
  • Low-Carb Version – Substitute noodles with zucchini noodles or cauliflower rice.
