Description

This Air Fryer Bang Bang Salmon features crispy, bite-sized salmon tossed in a bold and tangy sauce made with Thai sweet chili, sriracha, and lime juice. Quick, healthy, and bursting with flavor—perfect for weeknight dinners or meal prep!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Salmon Bites:

pounds salmon fillets (skin removed, cut into bite-sized pieces)

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)

For the Bang Bang Sauce:

½ cup mayonnaise (Japanese mayo preferred; Greek yogurt optional)

¼ cup Thai sweet chili sauce

1 tablespoon sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

Instructions

  • Make the Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice. Set aside.

  • Season the Salmon
In a large bowl, toss salmon pieces with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne (if using).

  • Air Fry the Salmon
Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
Arrange salmon in a single layer in the basket (work in batches if needed).
Air fry for 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway, until crispy and cooked through.

  • Serve
Transfer salmon to a serving dish. Drizzle with Bang Bang sauce or serve it on the side.
Enjoy immediately for best texture and flavor.

Notes

  • Adjust Spice: Reduce sriracha and omit cayenne for a milder flavor.

  • Oven Option: Bake at 400°F for 12–15 minutes, turning halfway.

  • Protein Swap: Try with shrimp or chicken for a fun twist.

  • Serving Suggestion: Pairs beautifully with jasmine rice, avocado salad, or a crisp side salad.
