    • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
    • 1 tsp honey (optional)
    • 1 tsp salt
    • ½ tsp black pepper
    • ½ tsp paprika
    • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Toppings & Herbs
    • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
    • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
    • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves (or ½ tsp dried thyme)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven
    • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Prepare 4 large aluminum foil sheets.
  • Prepare Lemon Garlic Butter
    • In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes.
  • Assemble Foil Packets
    • Place a salmon fillet in the center of each foil sheet.
    • Add asparagus beside the salmon.
    • Drizzle lemon garlic butter over the salmon and asparagus.
    • Top with lemon slices, parsley, and thyme.
  • Seal the Packets
    • Fold foil over the ingredients and seal the edges tightly.
  • Bake
    • Place foil packets on a baking sheet.
    • Bake for 15–20 minutes.
    • Optionally, open foil during the last 3–5 minutes and broil for extra caramelization.
  • Serve
    • Carefully open foil packets (watch for steam).
    • Garnish with extra parsley and lemon juice if desired.
