- 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
- 4 sheets aluminum foil
- Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp honey (optional)
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Toppings & Herbs
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves (or ½ tsp dried thyme)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare 4 large aluminum foil sheets.
- Prepare Lemon Garlic Butter
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes.
- Assemble Foil Packets
- Place a salmon fillet in the center of each foil sheet.
- Add asparagus beside the salmon.
- Drizzle lemon garlic butter over the salmon and asparagus.
- Top with lemon slices, parsley, and thyme.
- Seal the Packets
- Fold foil over the ingredients and seal the edges tightly.
- Bake
- Place foil packets on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes.
- Optionally, open foil during the last 3–5 minutes and broil for extra caramelization.
- Serve
- Carefully open foil packets (watch for steam).
- Garnish with extra parsley and lemon juice if desired.
