  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 teaspoons water (slurry)

For Garnish (Optional):

  • Sesame seeds
  • Sliced green onions
  • Red pepper flakes

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Meatballs

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them evenly on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 15-18 minutes, until fully cooked and golden brown.

Step 2: Make the Glaze

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine soy sauce, honey, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic.
  2. Bring to a simmer, then stir in the cornstarch slurry. Cook for 1-2 minutes until thickened.
  3. Remove from heat.

Step 3: Coat the Meatballs

  1. Transfer baked meatballs to a large bowl.
  2. Pour glaze over the meatballs and toss gently to coat.

Step 4: Serve

  1. Garnish with sesame seeds, sliced green onions, and red pepper flakes if desired.
  2. Serve hot over rice, noodles, or as an appetizer.
