  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

A quick and flavorful 10-minute honey garlic shrimp recipe with a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors. Made with honey, garlic, soy sauce, and juicy shrimp, it’s an easy and healthy meal for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger (optional)
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
  • Chopped green onions or sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Shrimp: Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel for even cooking.
  • Make the Sauce: Mix honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice (if using) in a small bowl. Set aside.
  • Cook the Shrimp: Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  • Add the Garlic and Sauce: Lower heat to medium, add garlic and ginger (if using), and sauté for 30 seconds. Pour in the honey-soy sauce mixture and toss to coat. Simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, sprinkle with green onions or sesame seeds, and serve immediately over rice, noodles, or steamed vegetables.

Notes

  • Spicy Kick: Add more red pepper flakes or a dash of sriracha.
  • Citrusy Twist: Use orange juice instead of lemon for a sweeter touch.
  • Extra Crunch: Toss in cashews or peanuts for texture.
  • Vegetable Boost: Add bell peppers, snap peas, or broccoli.
